Dhubri: Sensation prevailed in Dhubri Circle Office after a laat mandal allegedly attacked a journalist who had been covering news on corruption and bribery taking place inside the government office.
The journalist identified as Saiyad Nurul Aamin alleged that he was attacked by the laat mandal identified as Nur Haque on reporting news on corruption in the government office.

As soon as the incident took place, police reached the spot and media persons gheraoed the government office to report the sensational news.
It may be mentioned here that, for the last few weeks, Assam Police in accordance to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's orders, carrying out multiple crackdown on land revenue offices and circle offices of illegal land dealers (land dalals) and laat mandals, for their involvement in multiple illegal land activities.
