Asking why they were not wearing helmets and whether they cared about their own families and children

Digital Desk: Holding roses in their hands, schoolchildren took to the streets with a powerful message for two-wheeler riders. The children simply questioned bikers, asking why they were not wearing helmets and whether they cared about their own families and children.

The innocent yet piercing questions left many riders visibly embarrassed. Several admitted their mistake and promised not to repeat it in the future.

The initiative comes amid a worrying rise in road accidents across Hojai district, where several young lives have been lost in recent times. Many children have been left orphaned, and numerous families have seen their dreams shattered. Just three days ago, four people lost their lives in a single day due to overspeeding, an incident that deeply shook the district.

Disturbed by these heart-wrenching tragedies, the schoolchildren decided to step forward and appeal directly to bikers. With folded hands and polite words, they urged riders not to ride without helmets and to avoid overspeeding.

The heartfelt appeal by these young students has drawn attention to road safety and highlighted how even small voices can deliver a strong message for saving lives.
