Digital Desk: While the industry is still in grief after the passing of great actor and director Satish Kaushik Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene is going through a difficult time as she lost her mother Snehlata Dixit this morning. Snehlata Dixit passed away on March 12 at her home in Mumbai at the age of 91. In a joint statement with her husband, the actress announced the news.
The statement stated, "Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dikshit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones," and it was released by Madhuri Dixit and Dr. Sriram Nene.

Malady Dixit Nene and her mother also worked together on a song for the 2013 Anubhav Sinha-directed film Gulab Gang, and she frequently spoke about the life lessons her mother taught her that helped shape who she is today. In Vaikunth Dham in Worli, Snehlata Dixit's final rites will be performed today between 3 and 4 p.m.
