The majority of patients who lost their lives were admitted to the ICU...

Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, at least 17 patients who had been hospitalized at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial (CSMM) Hospital in Kalwa, Maharashtra, reportedly died within a span of 24 hours.

According to reports, the state government has asked the hospital's dean to submit a report regarding the death within two days.

Earlier on August 10, reports stated that five hospital patients died within a single day.

According to reports, the majority of patients who lost their lives were admitted to the ICU, but the CSMM hospital authorities have not yet confirmed the accurate number.

On the other hand, civic officials claimed that the cause of death at the facility is currently being analyzed.

Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), expressed his condolences to the family members of the deceased and slammed the district government for not taking timely action "even when the incident of the death of five patients in the last few days was fresh."
