Digital Desk: In a significant operation against contraband in Arunachal Pradesh, Doimukh police have seized cannabis of 230 kilos, which is worth several lakhs of rupees.

Based on reliable intelligence, a group of Doimukh Police received a tip on October 31st that a car from Kalaktang in the West Kameng district was carrying a lot of cannabis to be sold in the Itanagar market. 

As a result, a Doimukh police station team stopped the vehicle at Hara Hapa and took possession of around 108 kg of cannabis. 

Mohammad Rashidul Islam, a drug dealer from the Udalguri district, was apprehended immediately. Since then, the arrested individuals have appeared before a local court and have been placed in detention for a period of seven days. 

The people who were arrested during interrogation disclosed the source, from which he obtained such a large quantity of cannabis. After that, a squad went to Kalaktang and arrested Phurpa Tashi Langla, the primary cannabis supplier. Police also took 118 kilograms of cannabis from him. 

Accordingly, with this, the total seized amount of Cannabis is 226.723 kg which is worth several lakhs of rupees in the market.
