Digital Desk: In an extensive search operation and Naka checking carried out by security forces in Manipur, significant results were achieved in terms of confiscated weaponry. On November 3, security forces conducted thorough searches in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Manipur's Imphal West district, leading to the seizure of three AK rifles and one tear gas gun.

The operation extended to various districts in Manipur, both in the hills and valleys, with a total of 134 Nakas/Checkpoints set up for monitoring. These efforts were fruitful as they led to the detention of 1220 individuals in connection with various violations in different districts of the state.

The Manipur Police, sharing details of the operation on platform X, wrote, "Search operations were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Thoubal and Imphal West district. Further, in a special operation, security forces recovered 3(three) AK Rifles and 1(one) Tear Gas Gun from Imphal West District. A total of 134 Nakas/Checkpoints were installed in different Districts of Manipur, both in the hill and the valley and Police detained 1220 persons in connection with violations in different districts of the State."

This significant operation underscores the commitment of the security forces to ensure the safety and security of the region.
