Digital Desk: Jagiroad police has arrested a man, identified as Abdul Samim for fraudulent activities.


He was involved in posting fake job advertisements for the Tata Semiconductor Project in Jagiroad, a large-scale assembly and testing facility being built by Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs 27,000 crore.


As per reports, Abdul used social media platforms to circulate false job offers and extort money from various individuals.


He was arrested from Santipur, Golaghat, during a police operation.


Authorities seized Rs 1.60 lakh in cash, along with his Aadhar card, PAN card, and several other critical documents.


A case has been registered against him under number 258/2025 at Jagiroad police station.


Police suspect Abdul Samim may be part of a larger criminal network.
