The IGI Airport Police Station has filed a case following the relevant sections of the Arms Act...

Digital Desk: A man travelling from Delhi to Bengaluru on an Air India flight was detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport(IGI), after recovering 19 live cartridges from his possession on Tuesday, officials stated.

The passenger, identified as Ajay Kumar Bana was detained at the Delhi Airport in possession of 19 live cartridges. He was scheduled to fly on an Air India flight from Delhi to Bengaluru, according to Delhi police.

According to the Delhi Police, the passenger was detained as he was not able to present any valid documents for carrying such cartridges at the time of boarding.


The IGI Airport Police Station has filed a case following the relevant sections of the Arms Act, according to the police.

Reportedly, Further investigation is underway.

Earlier, a passenger was detained for having six live cartridges in his luggage. Following a bag check before his flight from Delhi to Dubai, the passenger was held at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
