Bhopal: A 55-year-old man raped and later strangled her to death for allegedly marrying a man from a different caste. The body of the woman and her eight-month-old son, who died of an illness earlier this month, was found two days ago in Samasgad forest, Ratibad district, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the family, the accused had taken his daughter to the forest to perform the baby’s last rites. However, the father and daughter got into an argument over her marriage, which took place a year ago. The man then allegedly raped his daughter and strangled her to death.

He has confessed to his crime and has been arrested by the police under sections 302 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per a report by India Today, Ratibad Station House Officer Sudesh Tiwari said that the mutilated body of the woman and the infant were found two days ago in the forest. When the police started investigating the matter, the body was identified as a woman from Bilkisganj in Sehore district.
