Ronaldo also criticised Old Trafford's senior officers for attempting to force him out of the team prior to the start of the 2022–23 season.

Digital Desk: Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo may be fined at least £1million for his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, reports said.

The 37-year-old criticised Man United manager Erik ten Hag, the Club's board, and the club's standards in this interview.

Immediately following Manchester United's stunning 2-1 victory over Fulham in extra time at Craven Cottage, Ronaldo gave Morgan a straight interview. Ronaldo was unable to participate in Thursday's Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa due to illness, thus he missed the victory.

Ronaldo was already penalised two weeks' pay in October for failing to enter the game as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspurs. Instead, the striker made the decision to leave the field before the game was over.

The Portuguese international claimed in the interview that Erik ten Hag, the current manager of the Red Devils, doesn't respect him and as a result, neither does he respect the Dutchman. "Ten Hag does not treat me with respect, thus I have no respect for him. I won't ever have respect for you if you don't have respect for me." In an excerpt from the interview, which will air in its entirety on Wednesday on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Ronaldo stated.

Ronaldo also criticised Old Trafford's senior officers for attempting to force him out of the team prior to the start of the 2022–23 season. He claimed that "Manchester United tried to force me out." "not just the manager, but the additional two or three men that work at the club [at the senior executive level]. I felt duped. I couldn't care less; people ought to hear the truth. Yes, I did feel cheated. In both the previous season and this one, I get the impression that some people didn't want me around."
