At a carefully planned event at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President will present the awards to the recipients.

Digital Desk: On November 30 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here, President Droupadi Murmu will present Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, the nation's highest athletic honour, to table tennis legend Achanta Sharath Kamal.

Sharath is the only Khel Ratna award winner this year, however 25 athletes have been nominated for the Arjuna Award, including the shuttlers Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy, the female boxer Nikhat Zareen, and the athletes Eldhose Paul and Avinash Sable.

The Dronacharya Award nominees in the regular category are Jiwanjot Singh Teja (Archery), Mohammad Ali Qamar (Boxing), Suma Siddharth Shirur (Para shooting), and Sujeet Maan (Wrestling), while the honorees in the lifetime category are Dinesh Jawahar Lad (Cricket), Bimal Prafulla Ghosh

The Dhyan Chand Award for lifelong accomplishment in sport will go to Ashwini Akkunji C (Athletics), Dharamvir Singh (Hockey), B C Suresh (Kabaddi), and Nir Bahadur Gurung (Para Athletics).

The Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar, 2022, will be awarded to TransStadia Enterprises Private Limited for identifying and developing young talent. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and Ladakh Ski & Snowboard Association have each been nominated for their support of sports through CSR and sports for development, respectively.
