Digital Desk: The District Magistrate of Imphal East and West changed the curfew to allow the general public to acquire necessities such as medications and food.
According to the order, the limitation on general public movement outside their houses is hereby withdrawn for all regions of Imphal West and Imphal East district on November 2, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This leniency, however, does not apply to any gathering/sit-in-protest/rally, etc. without prior consent from a competent authority.
Curfews, however, will not apply to people moving about concerning vital services like health, electricity, PHED, petrol pumps, schools, colleges, municipalities, the press and electronic media, the operation of courts and the to-and-from movement of passengers on flights to the airport and Contractor/Worker holding a valid Airport Entry Permit (AEP) Card.
