Digital Desk: In a targeted effort to curb potential security threats, a rigorous search operation was carried out in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Imphal East district in Manipur. The operation, spanning Thoubal, Kakching, and Kangpokpi districts, yielded a significant haul.

During the operation, security forces successfully recovered two arms: a.303 country- a .303 Country made rifle and a country-made 9mm pistol with a magazine. Additionally, 14 ammunition items were seized, including 7.62mm live ammunition, 9mm live ammunition, and 12-gauge ammunition. The cache also included 21 blank fire .303 ammunition, six explosives (comprising three No 36 Indian Hand Grenades and three No 80 hand grenades), 11 Mini flares (16mm, red), one 51mm para-illuminating bomb, and a tube launching 1A.

The operation underscores the security forces' commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region, disrupting potential threats posed by illicit arms and explosives.
