The Manipur Chief Minister designated vehicles carrying relief supplies from Kangla Gate in Imphal, the state capital.

Digital Desk: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh flagged off relief materials for Assam's flood victims on Monday. He designated vehicles carrying relief supplies from Kangla Gate in Imphal, the state capital.

"The relief materials include 135 quintals of rice, 102 bags of dal, 120 bags of salt, and 120 boxes of mustard oil," Singh said.

Singh added, "In addition, 40 SDRF personnel have been assigned to rescue operations in flood-affected areas of Assam."

"We are saddened by the loss of property and lives due to the flood in neighbouring Assam," said State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Minister Awangbou Newmai.

Manipur CM also added, "We are also considering sending more assistance."
