Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 50th birthday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during a match...

Digital Desk: The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was marked by a big celebration at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium when the entire crowd came together to wish famous cricketer Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar a happy 50th birthday.

Tendulkar hailed as the "God of Cricket," turns 50 on Monday (April 24). The Indian cricket icon was in sight for the big game in his role as the MI franchise's coach. He has held this position since the 2014 season, following his retirement a year earlier.

During the PBKS match innings, a special cake was set out near the MI dugout, and many members of the MI squad clustered together. The crowd was ecstatic to see the renowned batter and screamed 'Sachin Sachin' in synchrony as the stadium atmosphere witnessed an electric situation.

Many people in the stands were seen holding special banners for Sachin, and many more created beautiful face masks to commemorate his birthday.

Sachin played for MI from 2008 to 2013 and was the team's first permanent captain. Sachin retired in 2013 after leading the Mumbai-based club to victories in both the IPL and the now-defunct Champions League.

Sachin withdrew from international cricket that year, capping a 24-year career in which he amassed the most runs and centuries in both Test and ODI cricket.
