Digital Desk: On the eve of the 16th Civil Services Day, an exhibition of the best tasks from across the country was held today. Speaking of the exhibition, Varnali Deka, IAS, was the sole officer from Assam and one of just a few officers from across the country to be selected to present their initiatives at the Central Civil Services Day Exhibition at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. 

Earlier, Varnali Deka brought distinction and laurels to Assam on numerous occasions, including the Prime Minister's Award 2020 for Innovation and Aspirational District, which she received in 2022. 

The exhibition was officially inaugurated at Vigyan Bhawan by Hon Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankar. As a part of Central Civil Service Day celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, Varnali Deka met with dignitaries Hon Vice President, Hon Central Minister Dr Jitender Singh, and Cabinet Secretary Shri Rajiv Gauba.  

It is to be mentioned that on April 21, 2023, the Hon Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, will be the Chief Guest for the Central Civil Services Day. Every year, all civil servants in the country look forward to the Day and the celebration. This year the theme of the 16th Civil Services Day is Viksit Bharat - Empowering Citizens and Reaching the Last Mile.
