Digital Desk: Mizoram had a voter turnout of 75.68% as of 5:00 p.m., according to the Election Commission of India. 

The most recent voter turnout data is in, and EVMs are beginning to arrive in the strong rooms as polls close at 5 p.m. today. 

According to officials, voting for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly began at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, amid strict security measures. 

"I will be the winner in these elections," Rajya Sabha MP and MNF Party candidate K Vanlalvena says of the assembly elections. 

Over 8.57 lakh voters, including 4.39 lakh women, are casting ballots to decide the fate of 174 candidates. All constituencies contain candidates from the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), the main opposition Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), and Congress.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is running candidates in 23 constituencies, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in four assembly segments, and there are 27 independent candidates.
