Digital Desk: In a distressing incident of moral policing, a youth was tied to a tree and subjected to Taliban-style punishment on suspicion of theft in Goroimari's Ghoramara pathar.


As per reports, a group of 12 individuals, acting as moral police, brutally assaulted the youth, identified as Sahanur Islam, in Ghoramara Pathar village of South Kamrup's Goroimari area under the jurisdiction of the Jorshimuli police outpost.


Sahanur Islam was reportedly dragged out of his bed and subjected to inhuman torture by the moral policing group.


Meanwhile, the brutal torture of the youth has sparked outrage among the residents of Ghoramara.


Protest erupted as locals demanded the arrest of those involved in this unlawful act of taking the law into their own hands and torturing a youth over alleged theft.


The father of Sahanur Islam has filed a complaint against 12 individuals at the Jorshimuli police outpost, urging authorities to take action against the culprits.
