After the agency increased its vigilance against anti-corruption actions in the past month, various state government employees have been caught in the act.  

Digital Desk: The Registrar of Bhattadev University in Pathsala, Barpeta district, was detained by officials of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department, Assam, for allegedly taking a bribe.

The accused has been identified as Sri Guru Prasad Khataniar.

He is currently being held by the police. More actions are being taken.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption is actively engaged in the fight against corruption, it should be noted. The Assam Police advised residents of the state to report any type of financial demands made by government employees in July and provided two helpline numbers for people to report any incidences of bribery.

It may be mentioned that after the agency increased its vigilance against anti-corruption actions in the past month, various state government employees have been caught in the act.
