Digital Desk: At the Outlook Traveller Awards, 2023, Arunachal Pradesh was named Best Offbeat Destination in India, a notable success for the state's tourism department.

Sanjeev Dubey, assistant resident commissioner, and Adong Moyong, resident tourist officer, accepted the award on behalf of Arunachal tourists during an event in New Delhi.

According to Deputy Tourism Director Bengia Manna Sonam, this accolade is an acknowledgement for all stakeholders, and he encourages them to continue their efforts in maintaining the state's ecology and culture.

This, he claims, will safeguard the tourism industry's long-term viability while also benefiting the public and society.

Arunachal Pradesh was also awarded the 'Best Upcoming Adventure State Awards' at the recent ATOAI 15th annual convention.
