Digital Desk: A shocking incident at Shaheed Beja Baishnab Adarsha Hospital in Kohora, Kaziranga, has triggered widespread outrage after a dead person was reportedly covered with newspapers instead of a white cloth (shroud).

The incident has drawn strong condemnation from the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Student Parishad, which termed the act shameful and unacceptable. The organization alleged that the hospital lacks even basic facilities and has effectively been reduced to a mere referral centre.

As per reports, the incident occurred on 2nd May, night when a man identified as Budheshwar Koch was brought to the hospital after being killed in a collision with an e-rickshaw in Geleki. Instead of covering the body with a proper white cloth, hospital staff allegedly used newspapers, sparking anger among locals and organizations.

Critics have raised serious concerns over the poor infrastructure and lack of essential resources at the hospital, demanding immediate intervention from the authorities to ensure dignity in the handling of patients and deceased individuals.
