New Delhi: According to a new report by ANI news agency the trolling campaign launched against Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami has been orchestrated in Pakistan.
As per the information from an unverified Twitter handle Counter Propaganda Division which has around 10k followers the disinformation campaign was fully planned and implemented from Pakistan.
It also said that around 8 abusive posts-old on a social media platform came from unknown handlers and bots from Pakistan that made it to the international news for online abuse to a minority cricketer in India.

It also added that most of the abusive posts-old against Shami were accounts from Pakistan.
In a social media post by the Counter Propaganda Division, it said “WHO ABUSED #mdshami ?? Orchestrated Disinformation Campaign and the Role of “Useful Idiots”. Scene 1: High adrenalin Cricket Match between arch military rivals. India and Pakistan. Indian cricket team was bad on-field and lost the game. Game of Minds Begin after the Match,”
Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami was subjective to massive online abuse post India’s defeat against Pakistan.
Reports suggest that Kohli and Rohit received more abuses after the match. However, only posts-old on Shami got selectively highlighted.
