Digital Desk: A prominent Pakistani columnist Nusrat Mirza recently spoke with Shakil Chaudhary and made a shocking claim. In an interview with a Pakistani YouTuber, Mirza asserted that he frequently travelled to India between 2005 and 2011 and shared the information he collected there with Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
In the interview with Chaudhary, Mirza stated that on the request of the country's vice president at the time, Hamid Ansari, he had travelled to India to attend a conference on terrorism. Further, Mirza claimed that his most recent trip to India took place in 2011, during which he met Zafarul Islam Khan, the Milli Gazette's publisher in India. Further, he said he learned a lot during this visit, which he then shared with ISIS.
He admitted that although Pakistanis are not experts, they are aware of the situation because they are Mughals and have dominated the nation. In addition, he stated that although Pakistan wants peace, India is not interested in establishing it. He emphasized that, despite its strategic location, Pakistan has been entirely excluded.
India and Pakistan's relations soured on August 5, 2019, when New Delhi revoked Jammu and Kashmir's special status under Article 370 of the Constitution. Pakistan responded strongly to India's move by downgrading diplomatic ties and expelling the Indian envoy.
