Dilkhush Punjabi Dhaba, a popular dhaba in the area was shut down.

Digital Desk: Paltanbazar is a bustling area of Guwahati, surrounded by a railway station and police stations, with numerous hotels and restaurants, making it a 24/7 hotspot. Recently, there were accusations made against the hotels for neglecting hygiene protocol.

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) took action against the claims and commenced a raid against the unhygienic conditions of several hotels on 23rd October, Wednesday at 12:30 am. After investigating the team found out that no health protocols were followed while preparing food, and things were stored in highly contaminated surroundings.

Officials even discovered days-old meat that is not stored properly and overall poor sanitation practices which is a serious matter of concern. Moreover, preparing food using expired products has also raised concerns about the lives of the public.
