Since his detention, the ED has discovered various disproportionate assets belonging to Partha Chatterjee, including three apartments in Diamond City, West Bengal.

Digital Desk: Partha Chatterjee, a minister for West Bengal, and Arpita Mukherjee, one of his assistants, have been detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till August 3. Additionally, the court ordered that both of the arrested defendants undergo medical examinations every 48 hours.

The court further instructed the ED not to question Arpita between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

On Saturday, Partha was detained in West Bengal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the suspected School Service Commission (SSC) fraud.

Since his detention, the ED has discovered various disproportionate assets belonging to Partha Chatterjee, including three apartments in Diamond City, West Bengal. The minister, who is known as a dog lover, has a completely air-conditioned apartment that is dedicated to the dogs.

 

Following the recovery of Rs 21 crore in cash and jewellery valued at over Rs 1 crore from the Kolkata home of Arpita Mukherjee, a close assistant of the previous education minister, Partha Chatterjee was detained.
