Sonia Gandhi was once again summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday (July 26) following a three-hour interrogation of her on Thursday in connection with the National Herald case. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who stayed at the ED headquarters until the end of the questioning, was with the Congress interim president.

Digital Desk: The Congress held a meeting of the party leaders on Monday to plan protests, a day ahead of Sonia Gandhi's appearance at the Enforcement Directorate headquarters here. The party has instructed its members to stage a nonviolent "satyagraha."

Leaders have been requested to attend the evening meeting to address the issue's strategy.

The Congress protested last week when Sonia Gandhi was called into the ED. Congress members of parliament protested inside the Parliament building and later attempted to march to the ED office, but they were arrested and eventually freed.

At the Shivaji Bridge train station, the Youth Congress members had stopped a number of trains in protest at the Enforcement Directorate's interrogation of their party's leader, Sonia Gandhi (ED).

The central government and the financial investigation agency, ED, were criticized by the demonstrators for allegedly pursuing and silencing members of the opposition.

The Youth Congress declared, "This is a symbolic demonstration against the tyranny which is continuously set on crushing the Constitution and democracy."
