The PCB has rejected explanations and noted that the ICC had made a number of errors during the tournament regarding Pakistan's status as host nation.

Digital Desk: The Pakistan Cricket Board will file a formal complaint to the ICC because the closing ceremony of the champions trophy in Dubai ignored  Sumair Ahmed Syed who is both PCB's CEO and Champions Trophy tournament director.

According to a PCB source on Monday revealed the chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed dissatisfaction with how the ICC explained their decision to keep Ahmed off the presentation ceremony stage on Sunday.

According to the source the ICC previously prepared a stage position for Chairman Mohsin Naqvi before switching plans after he failed to appear for the final match day.

India beat New Zealand by four wickets in the final match.

The PCB has refused the ICC's claim since several mistakes on their part occurred regarding Pakistan's status as host nation.

This included changing of CT2025 logo  during live broadcasts in the India versus Bangladesh match followed by the Indian national anthem playing in the Australia versus England match at Lahore.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and New Zealand Cricket’s CEO Roger Twose  were also present there with other officials at the stage.

The PCB chairman extended which appreciation toward his team members as well as law enforcement agencies and to all the  teams along with  the provincial governments and ICC officials due to the tournament's successful outcome.
