Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Indonesia early Thursday to attend the 18th East Asia Summit and the 20th ASEAN-India Summit. He was greeted ceremoniously at Jakarta International Airport by I. Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection.

The Indonesian cultural dance was performed at the airport upon PM Modi's arrival.

Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), posted a video of PM Modi's arrival on his social media 'X' with the caption, "Good morning. We've just landed at Jakarta International Airport. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing to board a flight. He was greeted with a warm ceremonial greeting at Jakarta Airport."

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also landed in Jakarta and met with the Indian diaspora at the Ritz-Carlton.

The Indian community was ecstatic to greet Prime Minister Modi.

The Indian diaspora hailed "Modi, Modi," "Humara Neta Kaisa Ho, Narendra Modiji Jaisa Ho..." while waiting at the hotel. (What kind of leader do we need? Modiji should be like that), and "Har Har Modi, Har Ghar Modi."

PM Modi announced on platform 'X,' formerly known as Twitter, "Leaving for Jakarta to participate in ASEAN related meetings. This includes the 20th ASEAN-India Summit, which focuses on an important alliance for us."

"I will also participate in the 18th East Asia Summit, which will focus on critical development sectors such as healthcare, the environment, and digital innovations," he added.
