Prime Minister Narendra Modi will issue a commemorative coin and postal stamp to commemorate the anniversary.

Digital Desk: On the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the first prime minister to deliver a speech at the Mughal-era landmark after sunset, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country from the Red Fort on Thursday night.

According to a government news release, Modi will also issue a souvenir coin and postage stamp to celebrate the occasion.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Union government organized the event in partnership with the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.

Sikh ragis and children from all over the country will participate in 'Shabad Kirtan' during the two-day event, which starts on Wednesday. Magnificent light and sound performances representing the life of the Sikh guru will also be presented.

As per reports, Sikhs' traditional martial art, 'Gatka,' will also be organized.

According to the statement, the presentation will focus on the teachings of the ninth Sikh guru, who gave his life to safeguard religion and human values, beliefs, and principles throughout history. He was executed on the orders of Mughal king Aurangzeb for supporting Kashmiri Pandits' religious freedom.

His death anniversary is marked as 'Shaheedi Divas' every year on November 24.
