Digital Desk: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Sandipan Garg, an Assam police officer and cousin of the late singer Zubeen Garg.
Sandipan Garg, who served as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (In-Charge) of Boko, has been arrested in connection with the mysterious death of singer Zubeen Garg.
Sandipan, who travelled to Singapore along with Assam's beloved cultural icon Zubeen Garg, appeared before CID in Guwahati multiple times before being arrested on October 8.
Following his arrest, Sandipan was brought to the court by the police.
He is set to be suspended from his position within 24 hours. As per reports, he will remain in police custody for 7 days.
