Digital Desk: In a significant crackdown on narcotics, the Rangiya Railway Police arrested a man and seized 60 grams of heroin at Rangiya Railway Station.


The suspect, identified as Ramu Rai from Barauni, Bihar, was apprehended during a routine inspection led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gunajit Pathak.


The contraband was found concealed within five soap boxes.


According to police, Ramu Rai was attempting to transport the drugs to Bihar via the Silchar-Rangiya Express.


Investigations revealed that Rai is a habitual offender who had previously served time in prison for drug trafficking.


He is currently being interrogated at the Rangiya Railway Police Station for further information.
