New Delhi: Rising fuel prices continue to make life difficult for the common people in the country. The prices have petrol and diesel continues to reach skyrocketing numbers on the second straight day on Wednesday, as the state run oil marketing companies have increased fuel prices.

According to the latest report, petrol and diesel rates have been increased by 35 paise each. Starting in Mumbai, the price of per litre petrol in the financial capital is sold at INR 106.54, while diesel INR 103.26.

In the national capital New Delhi, petrol can be bought at INR 106.54 and diesel at 95.27 per litre.

In the south, in Chennai, petrol has reached 103.71 per litre and diesel is sold at 99.68 per litre. Similarly, in India’s silicon valley of India Banglore per litre petrol has reached INR 110.25 and diesel stands at INR 101.12.

In the east, in Kolkata, petrol is priced at INR 107.11 and diesel can be bought at INR 98.38 per litre.

The incessant rise in fuel prices has severely hurt the economy of the country. It has also led to cascading impact on other sectors and essential and non-essential commodities.
Although, consumers cannot expect any relief any sooner, as reportedly prices are unlikely to come down very soon.
