The i10 lost control and collided violently with the divider
Digital Desk: A horrific road accident occurred in the Tetelia area of Jalukbari, Guwahati, under low visibility due to fog. The collision involved two four-wheeler vehicles; a Hyundai i10 and a public transport (a commercial van) both traveling from Jalukbari towards Garchuk.
According to reports, the Hyundai i10 first grazed the commercial van traveling in the same direction. Following this, the i10 lost control and collided violently with the divider, resulting in a severe impact on the commercial van.
The driver of the Magic van was killed on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Jeharul Islam, a 34-year-old resident of Barpeta.
The vehicles involved in the accident are registered as AS01GK0872 (Hyundai i10) and AS01HC4850 (Magic van). Police and emergency services responded promptly, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the collision.
The tragic incident has raised concerns about road safety and the need for increased vigilance, especially in low-light conditions.
