Wisden Cricketers of the Year are cricketers chosen by the annual publication Wisden Cricketers' Almanack for their "influence on the previous English season."


Digital Desk: India captain Rohit Sharma and fast pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah are among the five players titled "'Cricketers of the Year' in the Wisden Almanack 2022 edition. Aside from the Indian duo, the list also includes Devon Conway of New Zealand, Ollie Robinson and Dane van Niekerk of the Proteas women's team.


Former England Test captain Joe Root has been named the World's Leading Cricketer, while South Africa's Lizelle Lee has been named the World's Leading Woman Cricketer. Mohammad Rizwan, the wicket-keeper batsman from Pakistan, has been named the World's Leading T20 Cricketer.


Speaking of the Indian Duo, Rohit and Bumrah had an amazing season. Apart from his heroics in India's historic victory at Lord's, Bumrah also bowled a match-winning incantation at The Oval, giving India a 2-1 series lead.


Rohit Sharma assured the Indian Test team at the top of the order, scoring 368 runs at an average of 52.57 in four Tests. The India captain hit a match-winning 127 at The Oval, his first Test century away from home.

Recently, Rohit Sharma can be seen playing in the T-20 IPL as Mumbai Indians Captain, whereas Jasprit Bumrah is the Spearhead of the MI team; the next match of MI is with the Roaring lions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) today at 7:30 PM in Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
