Due to weeks of Russian bombing, Mariupol has been running out of food, electricity, and water.

Digital Desk: Russia launched a "massive assault" on the Azovstal steel factory on Tuesday, according to the Ukraine Army, even after the UN said that minimum 101 civilians were evacuated from Mariupol city.

Russia had stated that it would use artillery and bombers to attack the Azovstal steel factory. As Russia continued to shell the city, reports stated that at least 1000 Ukrainian forces, including numerous civilians, were stuck at the important steel factory.

Due to weeks of Russian bombing, Mariupol has been running out of food, electricity, and water. Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that at least hundreds of citizens were evacuated from the steel factory.

Meanwhile, Russia's defence ministry claimed that its soldiers and the "Donetsk People's Republic" have begun destroying Ukrainian troops firing positions.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly warned his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that the West should stop providing Ukraine with military equipment.

"The Russian side is still ready to talk," Putin told Macron, despite Macron's assertion that the world food chain was in jeopardy due to the Ukraine conflict.

In the midst of the Ukraine conflict, Pope Francis stated that he would like to see Russian President Vladimir Putin and that he "was willing to go to Moscow." The Pope, however, stated that he had not received a response after delivering the message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
