Digital Desk: A Renowned designer Sanjukta Dutta has completed 14 illustrious years in the world of fashion and glamour, marking a significant milestone in her career.


To celebrate the occasion, popular Hindi and Kannada film actress Ritu Shivpuri joined the designer, making the moment even more special. A vibrant and unique event was  organized at “Sanjukta Studio” in Beltola, Guwahati, to commemorate the milestone.


Over the past 14 years, Sanjukta Dutta has earned international recognition for her work and has played a pivotal role in promoting Assam’s rich silk heritage on the global stage. She has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of Assam’s silk industry through modern techniques and expanding its reach worldwide.


Known for her creativity, the designer has introduced distinctive and culturally rich designs in traditional Assamese attire such as pat and ‘Muga Mekhela Sador’. Her work has been showcased by leading models both in India and abroad, bringing global appreciation to Assam’s handloom industry.



Dutta’s relentless efforts in reviving and promoting the state’s traditional silk industry, which once faced the risk of fading, have been particularly noteworthy and widely appreciated.
