When I returned home after being a victim of domestic violence, Papa asked me to do whatever I wanted to and then I thought, why not prepare for UPSC again?

Digital Desk: Shivangi Goyal is married and hava a daughterShivangi, however, did not have a good life after marriage. She was a victim of "domestic violence." Fed up with the harassment by her in-laws, she started living with her parents. Her divorce case is still in the process.

Sivangi, while recalling her past dark experience and how she overcame it, delivered a message to the married women of our country that if anything wrong happens to them at their in-laws' house, they should not be afraid. Women can do anything they want. If one studies well and works hard, one can definitely become an IAS.

 She admitted that she wanted to become an IAS even before marriage. She also attempted twice but could not clear. Then she got married.

She then started preparing for the toughest exam along with looking after her daughter and her studies. Shivang made us aware that she had been dreaming of this day since her childhood. Finally, that day has arrived after relentless hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

Her parents and daughter Raina are credited with her success. Shivangi is a resident of Hapur. Her father, Rajesh Goyal, is a businessman, and her mother is a homemaker.

Shivangi recalled her school days when her principal had asked her to prepare for UPSC. Since then, I wanted to become an IAS and it was a dream that I wanted to fulfil. Shivangi resorted to self-study and her subject was sociology.
