Digital Desk: In a horrific incident, a former bus driver stabbed a 20-year-old woman to death with a screwdriver because she allegedly refused to talk to him, police reported. The incident took place in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district. 
 
After the girl refused to talk to him and ended all contact with him, the man reportedly stabbed her 51 times with a screwdriver inside her own home. The accused man, who is currently on the run, had previously threatened the girl and her family.
According to the city superintendent of police (Korba) Vishwadipak Tripathi, the event took place in the pump house colony of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) on December 24.
 
According to the police, the victim was alone in the house when the accused arrived. He put a pillow over her mouth to muffle her screams and then stabbed her 51 times with a screwdriver. 
 
When he got home later, the victim's brother found her lying in a pool of blood, according to the official.
 
As per the preliminary investigations, the accused, who is from the Jashpur area was acquainted with the victim three years ago while he worked as a conductor in a passenger bus and she usually took that bus, he claimed.
 
According to police officials, the male later relocated to Ahmedabad, Gujarat for a job and continued to communicate with the girl over the phone.
 
Later, when the girl wouldn't talk to him, he got enraged. Officials said that after their argument, he began to threaten her and her parents.
 
To find the suspected culprit of the murder case, the Chhattisgarh police have created four squads and are moving fast.
