Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother Prahlad Modi and family members, who were on their way to the Bandipur tiger reserve, met with an accident at Kadkola in Mysuru district on Tuesday afternoon.

Prahlad Modi left Bengaluru on Tuesday morning for a private vacation to Bandipur. They were involved in an accident when the car driver lost control of the steering and hit into a road divider near the Kadkola industrial area.

Reportedly, a Mercedes Benz car was carrying Prahlad Modi, his son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and driver. They suffered injuries and were taken to a private hospital on MG Road in the city.

Following the incident, Mysuru Police SP Seema Latkar rushed to the spot and communicated to the chief minister's office about the accident. 

As per reports, Prahlad Modi has suffered jaw injuries, his daughter-in-law has suffered head injuries, and others have minor injuries, but all are out of danger.

Police have increased security at the hospital, and Karnataka Minister S T Somashekhar is on his way to Mysuru following the incident.
