Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old man allegedly killed his mother after she refused to give him money for drugs.
The body of his mother Parbati Brahma was found inside her bedroom in Kokrajhar Ward No. 8 Mwiderkhoro (Hatimatha), and the police arrested the culprit, Padopani Brahma, son of the late Professor Nagen Brahma, former principal of Kokrajhar Government College.
As per initial reports state that after his mother Parbati Brahma, 75, declined to give him the money he asked for to buy drugs, Padopani Brahma, who is known to have a history of drug addiction, hit her in the head with a hard instrument.
She died immediately from the blow, which turned out to be fatal.
The Kokrajhar community is in shock following the horrific incident.
