This new platform will assist consumers in tracking down and recovering missing cell phones.

Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will officially launch the Sanchar Saathi portal on May 17. The platform will be available across the country and will handle lost or stolen mobile phones from all telecom circles.

As of now, this webpage only serves the Delhi and Mumbai areas.

Using this service, 4,70,000 lost or stolen mobile phones have been disabled to date. According to authoritative sources, this service has also tracked over 2,40,000 mobile phones. Approximately 8,000 phones have also been recovered through the portal.

Users may also view their SIM card number through this portal and block it if someone is caught using the SIM through the owner's ID.
