Digital Desk: IPS Vijay Kumar, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Itanagar Capital Region, inaugurated the Special Women Police Control Room (PCR) in the Itanagar SP office on Thursday.

This innovative program, which was observed by IPS Rohit Rajbir Singh, the superintendent of police for the Itanagar Capital Region, and other police personnel, aims to successfully address crimes against women and improve their safety.

The Special Women PCR is manned entirely by women, which represents an extraordinary advancement in protecting the protection and security of women. Itanagar's Ziro Point serves as the major station for this specialized unit, which operates around the clock to provide prompt reactions to crimes against women.

In the event of any crisis, the PCR vehicles carry out a crucial role as first responders, which makes their job extremely important. These female staff members have completed extensive training to manage diverse distress calls successfully, and they have also acquired fundamental medical knowledge to provide prompt assistance when necessary.

IPS Vijay Kumar expressed his joy at being a part of this project and emphasized how it gives women who want to join the police force confidence. The Special Women PCR's establishment demonstrates a dedication to prioritizing women's protection and safeguarding their well-being in the region.
