Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district office was converted from the state office, which was previously located in Hengrabari, Guwahati.
On Thursday, the office was formally changed into the district BJP office.

The new state office of the BJP in Basistha was opened on October 8 by JP Nadda, the BJP's national president, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
It will be the party's regional headquarters and the largest office in the Northeast.
