Digital Desk: The high-profile trading scandal is set for its second hearing in the CBI Special Court on January 7.


The accused in the case include Sumi Borah, Bishal Phukan, Tarkik Borah and Abhijit Chand.


The case, registered under number 29/2025, names these four individuals as key defendants.


The first hearing took place on December 12 in the same court.


For the upcoming hearing, Sumi, Bishal, and Tarkik have been directed to appear in person.


Currently, all four accused are out on bail, granted under strict conditions imposed by the court.


The court has emphasised the mandatory personal presence of the accused during all hearings.


This trading scandal has sent shockwaves through the state, prompting the CBI to arrest 18 individuals in connection with the case.


Most of those arrested have since been granted bail.
