Digital Desk: Two drug peddlers were arrested in Hojai after being apprehended by local residents.
The suspects were intercepted by the public while travelling from Shildubi towards Hojai with drugs.
The incident occurred at Aam Bazar, where vigilant locals detained the individuals and recovered two boxes of drugs along with a two-wheeler vehicle.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Aftab Hussain from Dimarupar in Hojai and Ziarul Islam from Dongki village.
Upon receiving information from the public, the Hojai police promptly arrived at the scene and took the suspects in custody.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
