Digital Desk: A chilling incident has come to light at Roodraksh Mall in Guwahati, where a 30-year-old man, identified as Siddhanta Das from Sonapur, lost his life under mysterious circumstances.
Found critically injured on a first-floor staircase late Friday night, he was immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning.
The victim's family has rejected the possibility of an accident, alleging that the death was a premeditated murder.
According to the family, a security guard on duty that night reported seeing Das running out of the mall shouting before collapsing on the stairs with severe injuries.
An FIR has been lodged at Paltan Bazar Police Station.
The incident has sparked serious concerns, particularly as the family alleges they were not informed by either the police or the mall authorities, despite the incident occurring around 11 PM.
Siddhanta, an engineering graduate who managed a home-based water supply business, had been married for only a month.
Described as polite and humble, he reportedly had no known disputes with anyone.
