Digital Desk: Telangana BJP politician Indra Sena Reddy Nallu have been named governors of Odisha and Tripura, respectively, according to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on October 18.

According to an official statement made by the President's Secretariat on Wednesday, "the President of India is pleased to appoint Indra Sena Reddy Nallu as Governor of Tripura and Raghubar Das as Governor of Odisha."



"The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices," the statement went on to say.


Indra Sena Reddy Nallu is a BJP national secretary who has served as an MLA in Andhra Pradesh three times.

Satyadev Narayan Arya is the 19th governor of Tripura. Indra Sena Reddy Nallu is a Telangana-based BJP leader.

Nallu is a BJP national executive member who succeeded Satyadeo Narain Arya as Tripura governor.

The aforesaid appointments will take effect on the days they take command of their respective offices, it added.
