Digital Desk: The closing ceremony of the Assam Convention-2025 in Chicago took place on July 5 with a series of engaging events.
The final day began with a quiz competition for children, fostering knowledge and interaction among the younger attendees.
A Bihu workshop led by Barasha Rani Bishaya provided an opportunity for young men and women from various regions of North America to learn and embrace the traditional Assamese dance form abroad.
Adding to the day’s significance, a special discussion round titled "Invest in Assam" delved into the diverse investment opportunities in Assam, including the promising tourism sector.
Esteemed participants in the discussion included prominent American entrepreneur Sid Choudhury, Assam-based entrepreneur and Chief Managing Director of Prag News Dr. Sanjive Narain, and Dr. Naba Goswami.
Sattriya dance, contemporary dance, and a variety of musical performances are featured in the event. Furthermore, a documentary highlighting the life of Pandit Hemchandra Goswami is also presented.
A reunion event is arranged for alumni of AEC and JEC, along with medical professionals.
The day’s events also featured a fashion show showcasing the creations of renowned fashion designer Sanjukta Dutta, with Assamese actor Aimee Baruah gracing the ramp as the showstopper.
The cultural evening drew immense attention with popular Assamese singer Papon as the main attraction.
Papon, accompanied by his fellow artists, delivered a memorable performance that captivated the audience.
The entire event was seamlessly anchored by Barasha Rani Bishaya, ensuring a vibrant and well-coordinated conclusion to the Assam Convention-2025.
