Digital Desk: In a joint operation with the Mizoram Police, the Assam Rifles confiscated heroin near the Myanmar border in Mizoram's Champhai district, an officer said on Friday. The drug was valued at Rs 55 lakh on the international market. As the fight against drugs continues, this is undoubtedly a significant accomplishment.

On Wednesday, the security forces in east Mizoram's Champhai district, acting on specific intelligence, took 110 gm of heroin from the custody of two people, the official said.

He stated that the heroin was allegedly transported out of Myanmar.

According to the officer, Champhai Police received the two suspects and the heroin that had been found.
