This week, the nation has already recorded more than 83,000 cases. Over 3,300 new infections were recorded in Kerala in the previous day. On Thursday, the state of Bengal also reported around 2,880 new COVID-19 cases. According to information provided by the news agency PTI, 2,765 infections were reported in the southern state of Tamil Nadu in the previous 24 hours. 2,678 new cases were reported in Maharashtra in a single day, 540 of which originated in Mumbai. Delhi reported 579 new infections; Gujarat reported 717, while Madhya Pradesh reported 140.
